Greetings,
“Sorors, it’s a New Day. Excellence is our Standard. Performance is our Cloak and Love is our Signature.” These were the words spoken at the 2006 Boule by Supreme Basileus, Soror Barbara A. McKinzie that set the tone and established the mandate to carry out the Extraordinary Service Program.
We are beginning the second century of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Sorors from around the world heard her rallying cry and were inspired to take our organization to new heights of service and sisterhood. The vehicle she laid out for achieving our goal is the implementation of the Extraordinary
Service Program through five platforms:
Platform I The Non-Traditional Entrepreneur
Platform II The Economic Keys to Success
Platform III The Economic Growth of the Black Family
Platform IV The Undergraduate Signature Program: Economic Educational Advancement
Platform V Health Resource Management and Economics
Sorors, we need each of you to do your part to make our chapter’s programs the best they can be. Please be sure to sign up for a committee. There is a lot of work to be done. If something in the platforms “strikes your fancy” and you see a project you want to take to the next level, let me or the Basileus know.
With your support, Pi Delta Omega can achieve unimaginable results to make our community a better place for all to live. With your love and cooperation, we can reach unbelievable goals of sisterhood and service.
